Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program

Students participate in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program every day. The program is designed to give elementary students the opportunity to eat fruits or vegetables daily. The students taste well known fruits and vegetables such as, apples, bananas and carrots. The students also get to try some uncommon fruits and vegetables like, pomegranate seeds, rainbow carrots, pluots and Jicama. This program gives students the chance to try fruits and vegetables that they may otherwise, never get to taste. The Fruit and Vegetable Program has been a huge success for Pettit Park. Remember to ask your child each day what they had for their snack of the day!
